Is it the brand that does it?

Har I set Chanels’ nye collection – The Sneakers? Det kan godt være de har et lidt mormor agtig look over dem, men de er nu rimlig cool… Eller er det bare noget jeg tænker fordi de er fra Chanel? Nogle gange uden helt at tænke over det, bedømmer man beklædning pga. dets mærke. Jeg tror faktisk selv at jeg ikke ville tage et ekstra kig på Chanels’ nye sko collection hvis jeg så dem på hylden i en random butik… Men fordi jeg ved de er fra Chanel, så bliver de mere specielle og værdifulde. Jeg ved godt at det er den forkerte måde at bedømme sko, tøj osv. på, men hey jeg tror ikke jeg er den enste der tænker sådan her?

 F.eks. hvis vi tager en hvid basic t-shirt fra H&M og sammenligner med en hvid basic t-shirt fra Ralph Lauren med det lille logo på brystet, ville de fleste hellere have t-shirten fra Ralph Lauren. Jeg ville også selv hellere have den fra Ralph Lauren, uden tvivl! Men det er da lidt vildt hvor meget logo’et for ens beklædning betyder så meget for nogen af os.

Nok om det, jeg har fundet de her sneakers fra Zara til venstre i billedet som minder meget om Chanels’. De kommer vidst også lige med på ønskelisten forresten, altså dem fra Zara.. De hører mere til min pengepung 😉

Have you seen Chanel’s’ new collection – The Sneakers? They may have the grandma-look over them, but they are pretty cool … Or is it just something I think, because I know they’re from Chanel? Sometimes without really thinking about it, you judge a clothing by its brand. In fact I think I wouldn’t take a second look at Chanel’s’ new shoe collection if I saw them on the shelf in a random store… But because I know they’re from Chanel, they become more special and valuable. I know it’s the wrong way to judge shoes, clothes and so on, but hey I don’t think I’m the only one that thinks like this?

  For example, if we take a white basic t-shirt from H&M and compare it with a white basic t-shirt from Ralph Lauren with the small logo on the chest. Most people would rather have the t-shirt from Ralph Lauren. I would also prefer to have the t-shirt from Ralph Lauren, no doubt! But it’s a little crazy how much the logo of one’s clothing means so much to some of us.

Okay move on! I have found these shoes from Zara to the left of the picture which is very similar to Chanels’. They are also on my wish list now by the way, the ones from Zara of course.. They belong more to my pocket money 😉
